A tribute to the veterans who have served our country will be held in Sutton Gymnasium on Thursday November 9 at 8 a.m. All Veterans are welcome to attend, there will be a light breakfast and drinks provide prior to the assembly. We are also looking for photos of MHS alumni veterans for a slideshow at the event! If you know of someone you would like to recognize please send a photo, along with their name, graduation year and branch of service to awarner@mariettacsdoh.org

Family Career Awareness Day Reminder!! Marietta High Students have a great opportunity to stop by the Jr Fair Building tonight from until 7 pm to network with local businesses! For our Jrs and Srs not attending the Career center, this is a mandatory requirement for Senior Capstone.

MHS - Tomorrow is October 31st which means it is Halloween Dress Up Day!! Students and Staff should wear their favorite Halloween Costume!! Let's flood the building with Halloween Cheer!!

MHS “Reminder for 7th/8th grade students attending the dance: Students will need to enter on the Davis side, and if you are paying at the door, please bring exact change. $5 per student. If a student has had AL or OSS, they are not permitted to enter the dance. Students have already been notified yesterday if they lost the privilege.”

Good afternoon! The Marietta Athletic Department is sponsoring a Pep Bus to the Marietta v Jackson Football game on Friday, October 27th. The bus will leave the Davis Ave side of the school at 5pm Friday. If you ride the bus up, you must ride the bus back, no exceptions. If you want to attend, please sign up on the sign up sheet on the Athletic Dept window or email Cody Venderlic at cvenderlic@mariettacsdoh.org with your name and phone number. The first 46 students to sign up will get a seat. It is free to ride the bus. The students must purchase their ticket into the game. Tickets are available online or at the gate using cash. Reminder to 8th grade families that permission slips for the field trip to the Career Center are due on October 30th. If your student has not turned in a permission slip by that date then they will not be able to attend the trip to the Career Center on November 6.

Reptiles, Spiders and Zombies oh my! Fans of creepy reptiles, creepy crawlies and Halloween will love the event going on at the Junior Fair Building on October 29 starting at 1 p.m.

Save the Date: Wednesday, November from 4-7 p.m. at the Washington County Junior Fair Building. Building Bridges to Careers is hosting the Family Career Awareness Day , this will be a prime opportunity for students and their families to explore potential careers that interest them and network with real professionals in those fields. Would it even be a rivalry game without a proper tailgate? MHS Student Council didn't think so, that's why they have you covered for the Warren Game this week. October 20th, 5 p.m. in the Big Lots Parking lot. Plenty of food and fun to be had by all!

Parents/Guardians of 8th Grade Students going on the Gettysburg trip: Please make sure students are dropped off by 6 a.m. tomorrow morning ( 208 Davis Avenue) so we can get loaded up and leave the school by 6:30. Students who are not on the bus by 6:30 will miss their opportunity to go on the trip. Also - we ask that if students bring snacks, they DO NOT contain nuts in any form. We'll see you bright and early tomorrow!

Final call! The Winter Mandatory OHSAA meeting is scheduled for tonight at 6:30pm in the MHS Auditorium! This is for all 7th-12th grade students hoping to play a winter sport and their parents! Special guest speaker and former Olympian Ruthie Bolton will speak at 7pm! All are welcome to attend! See you tonight and Go Tigers!

The official pizza of Marietta City Schools Donato's is holding a fundraiser for Marietta High School Baseball on October 20th. 15% of all sales on this day will go directly to the baseball team, so make sure you get some great pizza and help support the baseball team!
