Marietta High School will be hosting a “PJ Party & Christmas Movie Night” on December 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium. The event is a donation only fundraiser with all of the proceeds going towards the MHS Winter Formal. The movie being shown will be the Polar Express. Marietta High Graduates- The Spring J. Bryan & Norma R. McCann Scholarship checks have been delivered to the office. Please stop by the office from 8 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday to pick up your check.

As a way to give back, support a younger MES Tiger with his project, and to boost attendance, the Marietta Athletic Department would like to offer the following promotion for tonight's Girls Basketball games: Any MCS student or athlete that brings a non-perishable food item to tonight's game will gain free admittance! Good afternoon! Our first home Lady Tiger basketball game is tonight at Frank Sutton Gymnasium at 6/7:30pm v Martins Ferry! Come cheer on our girls, grab some Tiger Gear (card or cash) for the holidays or snag a discounted Tiger Sports Pass (cash or check). The Knights of Columbus are hosting a free hot meal for anyone in need on Christmas Day. Dine-in, pick-up, or delivery are options for the meals with everything taking place at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Franklin Street. Reservations are required by December 18 and can be made by calling 740-760-0277 or emailing christmasfeast2013@gmail.com We need the following information for your reservation: Note if meals will be Dine-In, Delivery or Carryout Last Name, First Name Address (include City, State, and Zip Code) Phone Number (to call when delivery is on its way) Number of Meals Number of Children in the home so we can provide a little gift. There will be live Christmas music from Puls Family Trio, a free ride service to and from the dine in meal. The schedule for food is listed below. Dine-in: 1:00 pm Delivery: 10:30 am – 1:00 pm Carryout: 11:30 am – 12:00 pm

Marietta High School- Students- Tomorrow is "Red & Black Day" Please dress up in red and black to support Tuscarawas Valley Local Schools. To help with the cause, students can bring $1 to their first period teacher tomorrow.

On November 28 from 4-8 p.m. there will be a fundraiser at the Marietta Applebee's to benefit the Marietta Swim Team. Please see the attached flier about what meals qualify for the promotion. Get some good food and support the swim team, thank you!

Marietta High School Students/Parents/Guardians- In recent days, it has been brought to our attention of a safety concern for our MHS students during morning drop off. We ask that all drop offs follow the same procedure in the morning. The procedure is as follows: 1.) Drive in the appropriate lanes and follow the traffic flow - drop off should take place in the two inner lanes closest to the Colegate 4th floor entrance. 2.) There should be no students dropped off until the person who is dropping the student off drives around the loop and gets in the appropriate lane. MHS Seniors and Senior Parents/Guardians- This is a reminder that Financial Aid Night is this Wednesday, November 15, at 6:00 p.m. in the Marietta High School auditorium. This is a great opportunity to learn about the different types of financial aid available to college students and how to apply for it.

Marietta City School District will be swapping to all online registration starting in January so all parents/guardians will need to make sure they've created an account on the parent portal of infinite campus. Marietta High School Career Day- Friday , November 17th MHS career day will showcase multiple career clusters that will allow our students to explore a variety of career related careers within each career cluster!! This event is mandatory for every student (with the exception of students attending the Career Center) , grades 7-12 !! Students who miss this day will be required to complete an alternate assignment that satisfies the objective and learning goals for the day.

The annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held noon-1:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day at Norwood United Methodist Church, Oakwood Avenue and Colegate Drive in Marietta. The menu will include choice of ham or turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, roll and pumpkin pie. To reserve a dinner or to have a dinner delivered, call the church at 740-374-5606. There is a limit of six dinners per household for the delivery service. No take-out meals will be available, only dine-in and delivery. The dinner is free and available to any family or individual who wants to enjoy a hot traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Reservations and dinner delivery requests may also be emailed to norwoodumc23@att.net with the subject line “Turkey Dinner RSVP.”

Dear Seniors, I would like to remind you that the Senior Tux-Drape picture day is scheduled for Friday, November 3rd. If you attend Marietta High School or take courses through MC or WSCC, you will need to report to the MHS gym lobby sometime between 7 am to 11 am to get your picture taken. This picture will go into the MHS Yearbook. Girls should wear a tank top in order to easily put the drape on. Boys can wear a T-shirt.
