Marietta High School Couple of reminders for today, Thursday, February 15th! 1. MHS will be operating on a 2 hour early release bell schedule, so students will be dismissed from school at 12:40 pm. 2. Parent Teacher Conferences will be from 1 to 7 pm. 3. CCP Parent Meeting held in Auditorium from 6-7:00 pm.

Marietta High School- Tomorrow is also the CCP Parent Meeting for students interested in taking CCP courses next school year. The meeting is at 6:00 pm and will be held in the MHS auditorium.

Junior PioBiz is a problem/solution competition for high school students that is jointly sponsored by Marietta College and Building Bridges to Careers. The competition simply consists of identifying a problem that is worth solving and describing a new product or service that solves the problem. The proposed solution must potentially lead to the establishment of a for-profit or non-profit business organization or the launch of a new initiative that benefits society and/or the environment. Six MHS students will be able to participate in the ODOT Career Day. WHO: 11-12 WHAT: Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), Career Day Open House WHEN: Thursday April 11, 2024 9:00 am-11:00 am & 12:30 to 2:30 pm. WHERE: Washington County Garage, 1650 Green Street, Marietta Ohio Students will have the opportunity to learn about the different career fields that the Ohio Department of Transportation has to offer. ODOT employees will explain what they do daily and how their roles contribute to keeping our roads maintained and safe. We will have ODOT equipment available from construction and maintenance for students to see. Marietta High School- Re- 8th Grade Formal Due to the Kings Island Jr High Trip on Friday, May 17th, the 8th grade Formal has been moved to Friday, May 10th. The formal will be from 7-9 pm.

MHS- 7th & 8th Grade Dance There has been a great deal of confusion about the Valentine’s Day dance. We were able to resolve the scheduling conflict and the Valentine’s Day dance will be this Friday, February 9, from 7-9 in the cafeteria. The Power of the Pen will be selling pizza for $2.00/slice. Soft drinks will be available for $1.00 and water will be available for free. We ask that all students attending the dance be dropped off on the Colegate side of the building. Thank you

Any of our Tiger youth looking to learn the fundamentals of the game of golf we have a fantastic opportunity that will be held on February 18, 25 and March 3rd. The Tiger Indoor Golf Clinic is for girls and boys in the 5th and 6th grade and will focus on teaching things like: grip, full swing, putting, stance, short game and more. Kindergarten preregistration has begun! Students who will be 5 years old by 08/01/2024 are eligible to enroll in kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year. Marietta City School District welcomes motivational guest speaker and former WNBA player, Rushia Brown, who will present a session for Phillips School, Washington School, Marietta Elementary School, and Marietta High School. Brown will also do a session with the public from 7:00 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6th, in the TMI Center located in the high school. All are welcome to the Tuesday evening session!
