Building Bridges to Careers Career Fest will be held November 7 from 4-7 p.m. at the Washington County Fairgrounds Junior Fair Building. It's open to all 7th-12th grade students and their families around Washington County. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to get a jumpstart on planning their career pathway. In addition to career resources there will be free pizza and games as well!

There is a mandatory Winter Player/Parent meeting that will be held on Tuesday, October 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium. This will affect all students who are planning to play a winter sport. If you played a fall sport and already attended that meeting, then check with your specific coach to see if it is required to attend this one as well. Thank you!

The Marietta Cheerleaders would like to invite you to participate in our 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat With The Tigers, Sunday October 20, 2024 from 5:00-6:30, at Marietta High School Davis parking lot. Our Trunk or Treat event is a great way for youth in our community to come, meet, and interact with the athletes and club members at Marietta JH and HS. Our inaugural event in 2023 was a success, with nearly 200 young trunk or treaters! We hope to see you there!

Support the Tigers and an even better cause during the Kick for the Cure night this Saturday, October 5. Participate in the 50/50 to help raise funds to donate to the Strecker Cancer Center. Don't forget to cheer on the Tigers as they take on John Glenn with the JV game starting at 5 and the Varsity beginning at 7 p.m.

Marietta Girls Soccer has a huge game on October 1 and any Marietta City School Student who attends wearing a black shirt will get free admission! So pack the stands to support these girls and be sure to wear black!

Parents don't forget that tomorrow, September 26, is parent teacher conferences and students will be released 2 hours early. In addition, there will be no school on Friday September 27. Thank you!

Unfortunately due to sickness and lack of drivers, Bus 11 will not be operating this afternoon. You may pick up your student at MES or Washington. If your student goes to Phillips they will able to be picked up at Washington. Their transfer bus will still take them to Washington to keep the students together.
Marietta City Schools youth night will be this Friday, September 13 at 7 p.m. at Don Drumm Stadium. Kids are given free entry with a tiger jersey or shirt. Come out and support the tigers under the Friday night lights!

Now that we are all back in school and will be heading toward the cooler months, preventing sickness is going to be key for staying healthy and happy this school year. Here are some tips for helping to prevent you from getting sick and some to prevent spreading it if you do get sick.

The 2024 MHS Cheer Youth Cheerleading Clinic will be held on September 10 and is open to all K-6th graders. The schedule is below:
K-2nd: 5-6 p.m.
3rd -6th: 6:30-8 p.m.
In addition to the instruction day students will be able to cheer at the high school varsity football game and receive free admission to the game.
The camp is $40 per child, additional children from the same family can be added for $25.

Our new baseball coach, Kail Hill, would like for any 9th-12th graders interested in playing baseball this spring to attend a meeting on September 5 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the MHS Auditorium and parents are encouraged to attend along with their students. If you are unable to attend please contact Coach Hill at 740-336-6453.

For our first varsity home football game of this season we'd like to invite all current military personnel, veterans and first responders to hopefully enjoy a Tiger victory on the house! Due to extreme heat this week we will be pushing back our game start time to 8 p.m. this Friday August 30th. Spread the word and lets pack the house for the Tigers this Friday!
