Even though I realize not everyone was thrilled to hear this news, everyone has been fantastic in following these guidelines!! Quarantine Guidelines- By everyone wearing masks inside the building, this has exponentially cut down on the number of quarantines for the high school!! As a reminder, we follow guidelines set forth by the MB Health Department. Quarantine Guidelines that we follow are identified below: * If we have a positive case (either student or staff member) A. School Official contacts a positive case to review contact tracing. B. School Official reviews seating charts each period- please note that due to the mask mandate, students most likely will never get quarantined from a class. C. School Official interviews positive case to determine contact tracing at lunch and outside of school (if applicable) D. If a quarantine is warranted, a School Official will contact parents or guardians to discuss the following- Vaccination of student (Question will be asked if student has been vaccinated- if so, then most likely student will not have to be placed in quarantine- the only exception would be if the vaccinated student is showing symptoms at the time of the exposure), identify specific quarantine dates and discuss the date of return. Covid Reminders- We ask the following of our students and parents/guardians- A. If a student tests positive, please contact the school nurse immediately so the nurse can start contact tracing and the appropriate absence code is entered into IC. B. If a student is showing signs and symptoms of covid, we ask that you keep the student home to further monitor for symptoms. C. Students must use Google Classroom if the student stays home and/or is placed in quarantine.
