Local college representatives will address several topics including updates to the program and will also be available to answer questions. Students who plan to participate in the 2023-2024 CCP program, whether on the high school or college campus, are strongly encouraged to participate along with the parent or guardian.

We will be handing out the Ashton fundraiser Tshirts on Saturday, 1/14/23, at Marietta High School from 11-1. Duffy as well as some of our wonderful friends and family will be there to help make this run as smooth as possible. We do have spreadsheets of all the orders and will divide each sheet up. CCP students attending classes in person or online at Washington State or Marietta College will need to email their schedules to Mrs. Elder, aelder@mariettacsdoh.org in order for Mrs. Elder to check for the books and/or sign the schedule for books to be picked up from the college bookstore. Classes begin on January 9, 2023.

The Marietta Boys JH Basketball game @ Woodsfield has been canceled for tonight. 7th grade boys basketball will now practice at MES at 7pm.
The 2022 Yearbooks have arrived!! MHS staff distributed the yearbooks to several students this afternoon!! If your student did not receive their yearbook today, please have them stop by the office tomorrow to pick this up ! Class of 2022, you are able to pick up your yearbook through Monday, December 19th. After the 19th, your yearbook will be mailed home to the address identified when the yearbook was purchased.
Marietta High School- The 2023 Yearbook Staff has worked this week organizing the page ladder and by the end of the week will have around 30 pages completed for the 23 yearbook!!!

Last day to purchase tickets! All 7/8 students wishing to purchase tickets for the winter ball, please visit the Marietta City Schools Athletic Page. Tickets will be on sale until 12/09/22. All students MUST have a pre-sale ticket to attend. Only 7/8th grade MCS students are able to attend. Junior Winter Ball December 16th 7:00 to 9:00.

MHS Career Day Information - Career Day is tomorrow, November 22nd! This is mandatory for MHS students, grades 7-12. Please see the following information below-
1. Full time Career Center students are exempt.
2. Full time CCP students should fulfill their College classes first-then report to MHS.
3. Part time career center students should fulfill their career center obligations first -then report to MHS.
4. The remainder of MHS students should arrive to school at 7:40 am and report to homeroom.
Tuesday, November 22nd is a big day for Marietta High School students and staff!! This is the 2nd annual Career Day at MHS and we are expecting 86 presenters to the high school campus!!! Career Day has been a goal and mission of mine for some time now and I am excited about the possibilities of the program moving forward to expand on this vision!! The landscape of education is ever so changing and the challenges behind these changes are vastly different than they were just 5 years ago!! Making connections and building networks within the community and around the state is an invaluable asset!! Career Day is intended to educate, inform and bring awareness to the variety of career clusters and career related fields that we have in our surrounding communities and beyond! November 22nd will be one of the most important days of our student's 2022-2023 school journey!! With that being said, attendance is mandatory and for any student who is absent without a medical excuse,that student will be required to complete an alternate assignment that will aim to accomplish the same goals and objectives as the November 22nd Career Day! For our Senior Class, this is also a required assignment to complete the Senior Capstone Project.
