Marietta High School will be hosting a “PJ Party & Christmas Movie Night” on December 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium. The event is a donation only fundraiser with all of the proceeds going towards the MHS Winter Formal. The movie being shown will be the Polar Express. The Knights of Columbus are hosting a free hot meal for anyone in need on Christmas Day. Dine-in, pick-up, or delivery are options for the meals with everything taking place at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Franklin Street. Reservations are required by December 18 and can be made by calling 740-760-0277 or emailing christmasfeast2013@gmail.com

Marietta City School District will be swapping to all online registration starting in January so all parents/guardians will need to make sure they've created an account on the parent portal of infinite campus. The annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held noon-1:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day at Norwood United Methodist Church, Oakwood Avenue and Colegate Drive in Marietta.
The menu will include choice of ham or turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, roll and pumpkin pie. To reserve a dinner or to have a dinner delivered, call the church at 740-374-5606. There is a limit of six dinners per household for the delivery service. No take-out meals will be available, only dine-in and delivery.
The dinner is free and available to any family or individual who wants to enjoy a hot traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Reservations and dinner delivery requests may also be emailed to norwoodumc23@att.net with the subject line “Turkey Dinner RSVP.”

Veterans we want you to join us on November 9 at 10 a.m. so we can thank you for your service and show you what we have been working on for you! Students, don't forget to wear your Red, White and Blue. Anyone attending please try to arrive by 9:45 a.m. so you can check in at our new secure entrance to receive a visitor page.

A tribute to the veterans who have served our country will be held in Sutton Gymnasium on Thursday November 9 at 8 a.m. All Veterans are welcome to attend, there will be a light breakfast and drinks provide prior to the assembly.
We are also looking for photos of MHS alumni veterans for a slideshow at the event! If you know of someone you would like to recognize please send a photo, along with their name, graduation year and branch of service to awarner@mariettacsdoh.org

Reminder to 8th grade families that permission slips for the field trip to the Career Center are due on October 30th. If your student has not turned in a permission slip by that date then they will not be able to attend the trip to the Career Center on November 6.

Seniors who attend Marietta High School and Seniors who take courses through MC or WSCC, will need to report to the MHS gym lobby on Friday, November 3rd sometime between 7 am to 11 am to get their Senior Tux-Drape picture that will go into the MHS Yearbook!

Students K-6 interested in joining the Marietta Tiger Youth Wrestling Program should attend the sign up to be held at the MES Cafeteria on November 1st at 6:30 p.m. There is a $50 fee due at signups.

Reptiles, Spiders and Zombies oh my! Fans of creepy reptiles, creepy crawlies and Halloween will love the event going on at the Junior Fair Building on October 29 starting at 1 p.m.

Building Bridges to Careers is hosting the Family Career Awareness Day , this will be a prime opportunity for students and their families to explore potential careers that interest them and network with real professionals in those fields. For more information email klwebber@bb2careers.org

Would it even be a rivalry game without a proper tailgate? MHS Student Council didn't think so, that's why they have you covered for the Warren Game this week. October 20th, 5 p.m. in the Big Lots Parking lot. Plenty of food and fun to be had by all!

The official pizza of Marietta City Schools Donato's is holding a fundraiser for Marietta High School Baseball on October 20th. 15% of all sales on this day will go directly to the baseball team, so make sure you get some great pizza and help support the baseball team!

The Washington County Special Olympics are looking for craft or monetary donations for their annual Bingo happening on October 14. Please see the attached images for more information!

Washington Elementary School will be closed today, Tuesday, April 25 due an issue with the boiler. This only affects the students attending Washington. All other buildings will remain open as planned.
