This year, for the 25th anniversary of 9/11, our musical theatre class will be performing Come From Away, a heartwarming, tear jerking show about the small Newfoundland town of Gander that took in and cared for over 7000 stranded passengers on 9/11.
The show will be performed in a smaller black box setting with the stage and the audience sitting on the MHS stage with only 100 seats per show. Dates and times for this year's production are November 5,6 at 7:00 p.m. and November 8 at 2:00 p.m. Attached is a link to reserve tickets, $15 paid at the door or you can email jsarver@mariettacsdoh.org directly. We are expecting to sell out this year so reserve your tickets soon!

They have to be fever free without Tylenol or Motrin for 24 hours, Diarrhea free for 24 hours and no vomiting for 24 hours before returning to school.
Fever of 100.0 or higher they cannot be at school. Please take time to review the attached flyer and do not hesitate to contact me at the school for any questions or concerns you may have. Also, please make sure to call in and report your child’s absence if they are kept home and send in doctor’s/parent notes when they return!

Our new Raptor Security System requireds that an ID be scanned before access to a building is granted. We will track attendance closely: We monitor daily data to celebrate consistency and catch early drops.
We will communicate early: If your child misses a few days, we will reach out to check in and see how we can help.
We offer support: If transportation, health, or anxiety are making attendance difficult, please contact our front office. We can connect you with school resources and counselors.
Tips for a Strong Routine
Set consistent bedtimes: Help your child get enough rest to wake up refreshed.
Prep the night before: Lay out clothes and pack backpacks before going to sleep.
Have a backup plan: Identify a trusted neighbor, friend, or relative who can help with drop-off if your morning routine gets disrupted.

This Friday will be our final Coffee with Care of the year. To wrap up the year we will be doing something a little different. At 3:30 p.m. we will be set up on the playground of Washington School and available for families that want to drop by after they pick up their students. Our main topic will be an end of school wrap up and summer opportunties but we will be on hand to help with whatever additional questions you might have. We hope to see you there!
Safety Town is almost here! You can register your 5 or 6 year old student to participate by scanning the QR code attached. The dates for this years event will be June 15-25 with a morning session and afternoon session available. Application deadlines are May 22 so don't delay!
