
The Boys and Girls Club of Washington County is providing free hot lunches between the ages of 5-18 years old all summer long. From June 9-August 15, kids can stop between 11:30 and 12 p.m. at 307 Lancaster Street in Suite I in Marietta.

Tigers under the age of 18 looking to play golf at a wide range of courses around the area, mark your calendar for the Tiger Junior Golf Tour. Dates and courses are listed below.
July 6: Lakeside, 2 p.m.
July 11: Oxbow, 2:30 p.m.
July 16: Golf Club of WV, 8 a.m.
July 22: Marietta Country Club, 8 a.m.

Safety Town signups are open and you need to reserve your child's spot asap. Safety town will take place June 16-26 at Phillips Elementary School and there will be a 9a.m.-12 p.m. session and a 1-4 p.m.

Can you believe the end of the year is almost here? Our final Coffee with care of the year will be May 9, from 8:45-9:30 a.m. in the Phillips Elementary Library. Our topic this month will be Anxiety and an End of the Year Wrap Up. We hope you will choose to join us for some excellent conversation, pastries and coffee. 🍩☕


The Daddy Daughter dance will be a fun opportunity for dads and daughters of all ages on May 23 from 7-9 p.m. in the MHS Cafeteria. Dress for this event will be semi formal (nice dress).
Tickets are $15 per dad and daughter with $5 additional per daughter up to a max of $25. Tickets can be purchased at the Athletic Department website or at the door. Proceeds from this event will go towards paying for the Marietta Marquettes trip to Nationals.


One week from today on the Armory Lawn a group of students from the Washington County Career Center will be holding an event "Sowing the Seeds of Literacy" focused on promoting the importance of reading to young children.
The event, which will be held on May 2, from 5-9 p.m., is a collaboration between Building Bridges 2 Careers and of students who call themselves "Students Solving Problems".
At the event, SSP members will be reading selected story books including:
"Wally Takes a Weather Walk" by Bree Sunshine Smith
"The Little Butterfly That Could" by Ross Burach
"I Can Save the Earth!" By Alison Inches
"How the Crayons Saved the Rainbow" by Monica Sweeney
"Rain, Snow or Shine: A Book About the Weather" by June & Lucy Kids
and "We Are All Connected: Caring For Each Other & The Earth" by Gabi Garcia
There will be free books on hand for kids and snacks as well. This is an absolutely wonderful opportunity to get your children even more involved with reading outside of school hours, we hope you will take full advantage.

It's almost time for the 25th Annual Marietta City School District Fine Arts Festival! On Wednesday, April 30 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Marietta High School Gym and Auditorium, creativity will come alive from the minds and talents of the students of MCSD! This completely free and open event will feature various art mediums and musical performances from students at all levels of the district. The Party in the Park for Prevention will be held Saturday April 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the East Muskingum Park in Marietta, Oh. It will be a fun time for the entire family with food trucks, bouncy houses, craft tables, yard games, a live dj, farm petting zoo and so much more!

For interested families, Marietta College's Education Department Is hosting a Bingo Night at The Gathering Place from 5:15 to 7 p.m. tonight. The price is $1 per Bingo Board and there will be fun prizes for the entire family.

The Peoples Bank Theatre is providing free kids films to the public with their Sensory Friendly Film Series which will be starting in May. The series is aimed at presenting family films in a positive comfortable environment that includes lights left on low, sound turned down, chill-out zones, and more autism-friendly features. Our next Coffee with Care will be held March 14, 8:45-9:30 a.m. at the Phillips Elementary library. This months topic will deal with "Confidence and Self Esteem" and there will be many tips and tricks for helping build your student up to brand new heights.
