Marietta High School passed out new cases for our student devices this morning. During the process, the old cases were removed. The new cases must be utilized by every student at the high school. Please note that failure to utilize the new case might result in damage of the device which will result in costs occurred due to the damage. Please discuss with your child the importance of keeping the new case on the device.

This morning at 10:06, Marietta High School held our annual safety drill during our advisory period. During this drill, MHS staff discussed ALICE - I will share the document with all students and parents via email. After our discussion, a scenario was presented to the staff and student body and discussions were had regarding the appropriate steps that each classroom should take given the information that was provided.

Tabby’s Clothesline, the school anonymous closet for any student in need, will receive winter clothes starting today until 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
Needed items include:
- adult-sized winter coats,
- winter toboggans and beanies,
- scarves,
- gloves,
- mittens.

We have had a couple of close calls within the past week on the Davis side parking lot with car collisions. Please be reminded that student drop off and student pickup should be taken place on the Colegate Parking area of the school! Davis Parking area should only be utilized for Bus traffic and student authorized parking for high school students. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Attention students and parents going to Washington DC November 10-12. There will be a mandatory meeting November 4, at 6:30 pm in the Marietta High School cafeteria. Everyone going on the trip must attend this mandatory meeting.

PSAT exam is Wednesday, October 13th during Periods 1-4. Please note the PSAT exam is full. Students who have registered for the PSAT will need to report to the TMI center by 7:30 the morning of the exam. Pre-Grid for the PSAT will be Tuesday in the cafeteria during 7th and 8th Periods.
Tuesday- October 12th- PSAT Pre-Grid (Cafeteria during 7th & 8th Periods)
Wednesday-October 13th- PSAT Exam (TMI- Report by 7:30)

A Herff Jones representative will be at MHS on Tuesday, October 12th to speak with all Freshmen (Class Rings) and Seniors (Graduation Merchandise).
This meeting will take place in the auditorium.

Students-
Please be reminded to follow the following traffic pattern when utilizing the stairs.
Prior to 1st Period- Both Stairs can be utilized going down.
Periods 1st-8th - Please use Colegate Stairs when going up- Davis Stairs when going down.
End of the School Day- Both stairs can be utilized for going up.
This traffic pattern is non-negotiable and was put in place for staff and student safety. Please make sure that you adhere to this pattern.
Please note the following- Failure to follow the traffic pattern will result in AL.

Herff Jones School Visit
On October 12th, Herff Jones will be in the Auditorium to discuss graduation merchandise with Seniors and class rings with Freshman.
We will start with the Freshmen at 9AM and Seniors at 9:30.
On October 21, Herff Jones will be set up outside the Cafeteria, during lunch, for sales.
Seniors, if you haven't already, please get with Ms. Kleintop in the Guidance Department to check the legal spelling of your name and your height and weight for cap and gown. Caps and gowns will be ordered for every Senior so knowing your height and weight by the 12th is very important.
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, September 29th from 4:00-7:15. We ask that all parents/guardians entering the building be wearing masks. There will be tables inside both entrances that have masks available in emergency situations.
