The Marietta High School Men’s Soccer team will host a “Kick for the Cure” fundraiser on Thursday, October 1, bringing the Marietta community together to support the Memorial Health Foundation’s Cancer Patient Emergency Fund.

The event will take place at Jerry Brock Field, 732 River Road, with the junior varsity match beginning at 5 p.m. and the varsity match following at 7 p.m.

During the varsity match, representatives from the Memorial Health Foundation will be on-site accepting donations from community members. All proceeds will benefit the Cancer Patient Emergency Fund, which helps provide assistance to cancer patients facing emergency financial needs.

Following the varsity match, the Marietta High School Men’s Soccer team will present a check to the Memorial Health Foundation. The presentation and group photo are expected to take place at approximately 8 p.m.

“Kick for the Cure” is an opportunity for Marietta High School student-athletes to make a difference beyond the soccer field while supporting individuals and families in our community.

Community fundraisers play an important role in supporting the Memorial Health Foundation’s mission. In Fiscal Year 2026 alone, community fundraising events contributed more than $75,000 to the Foundation.

Marietta City Schools encourages students, families, alumni and community members to attend the game, support the Tigers and help make a difference for local cancer patients and their families.
