Marietta High School celebrates homecoming the week of September 15  with various activities. Dress up days include PJ Day, Anything but a Backpack Day, Adam Sandler Day, and Class Color Day. Classes will compete in rock painting, spirit games, and float building. The freshman class float theme is “Rams Go Down in Round One.” The sophomore class float theme is “Roast the Rams.” The junior class float theme is “Ram the Rams.” The senior class float theme is “Slam the Rams.” Each class voted for class representatives, and the entire student body voted for the 2025 MHS Homecoming King and Queen.

Queen Candidates

Taylor Addis, 17, is the daughter of Emily and Doug Addis. Taylor is a four year member of the MHS girls’ soccer team and a thirteen year member of the Club Ohio travel soccer team. Taylor has received 2nd Team All District and 2nd Team All Conference Honors for soccer and Senior Athlete Award. She serves as the senior class president and is a member of Key Club and National Honor Society. Taylor plans to attend college next year to study nursing with the goal of becoming a nurse anesthetist. 

Jocelyn Arnold, 17, is the daughter of Melissa and Benjamin Arnold. She is the Marietta High School Student Body President and a member of Interact Club and Model UN. She plans to attend college next year to pursue a major in education and a minor in business. 

Molly Graham, 17, is the daughter of Alecia and Shawn Graham. Molly is the cheer captain and has been a varsity cheerleader for four years. She serves as the senior class vice president and the National Honor Society secretary. Molly plans to attend college next year to study sonography.

Celia Huffman, 18, is the daughter of Mollie and Matt Huffman. Celia is a member of National Honor Society and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She works at Glenwood. Celia hopes to attend The Ohio State University next fall to study sonography. 

Alexis Miller, 17, is the daughter of Nicole and Tommy Miller. Alexis received the 2025 spirit of OVA Award. She plays soccer and has been a competitive cheerleader at Ohio Valley All Stars for thirteen years. Alexis volunteers with her cheerleading team in events to benefit House of Homes and Eve. She plans to attend college next year to become a surgical technician. 

Izzy Riggs, 17, is the daughter of Taffy and Jason Riggs. Izzy is the captain of the varsity girls’ soccer team. She was awarded honorable mention MOVSL and honorable mention TSL for soccer and has played on the varsity team for four years. She has also played on the Club Ohio Travel Soccer team for six years. Izzy is a member of Key Club and Environmental Club. She hopes to attend Bowling Green State University next year to major in preoccupational therapy. 

King Candidates

Kobe Alexander, 18, is the son of Danielle and DeVin Alexander. Kobe is a co-captain of the varsity football team and was awarded Honorable Mention-All State in football. Kobe is also a member of the MHS basketball team and participates in the Plumbers and Pipefitters Pre-Apprenticeship Program.  He plans either to become a pipefitter or to attend college and continue playing football next year.  

Teddy Bauer, 17, is the son of Megan and Brad Bauer. Teddy is co-captain of the varsity football team and a varsity wrestler. He is in the Plumbers and Pipefitters Pre-Apprenticeship Program and plans to attend college next year. 

Logan Grosklos, 18, is the son of Amy and Jason Grosklos. Logan is a member of National Honor Society and Key Club. He plays varsity basketball. Logan plans to attend college to study psychology next year. 

Vincent Ingram, 17, is the son of Cara and Matthew Ingram. Vincent rows crew in the fall and spring and is a member of National Honor Society. He plans to go to college next year to pursue a major in kinesiology or nutrition and then attend optometry school. 

Drennan Threatt, 17, is the son of Erin Donofrio and George Threatt. Drennan is a member of the Marietta High School crew team, and Interact Club. He serves as Marietta High School Student Body Vice President and National Honor Society Vice President. Drennan plans to attend college next year to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.

Will Tornes, 18, is the son of Alyson and Scott Tornes. Will has earned First Team All Conference in Baseball. He plays varsity football and baseball. He plans to attend college next year to pursue a degree in engineering.

Junior Class Attendants

The Junior Class Attendants are Ellery Westbrook, 16, daughter of Edie and Ryan Westbrook, and Seth Goeller, 16, son of Kirsten and Jim Goeller. Ellery is a member of Spanish Honor Society and rows on the Marietta High School Crew team and the Harmar Rowing Club team. She participates in the First Church of the Nazarene Youth Group and Interact Club. Seth is a member of National Honor Society, Model UN, and MHS Student Council. A former Student Athlete of the Week, Seth plays baseball and golf and is a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

Sophomore Class Attendants

The Sophomore Class Attendants are Nadia Morris, 15, daughter of Shalanda Curtis and Kyle Morris, and Kolton Casto, 16, son of Cassandra and Steven Casto. Nadia is an MHS cheerleader. She won the National Cheer Association All-American Award and the Universal Cheer Association All-American Award. She participates in community service activities with her cheer team.  Kolton is a member of the track and field team and the junior varsity football team. 

Freshman Class Attendants

The Freshman Class Attendants are Izzy Folts, 15, daughter of Heather and Jason Folts, and Logan McAlarney, 14, son of Ashley and Chance McAlarney. Logan is a member of the MHS Wall of Sound Marching Band and serves as a stage manager for the MHS Choir. 

The homecoming parade will step off from Marietta Elementary School at 5:15 pm on Friday, September 19. It will continue up Putnam Street to Fourth Street and down Hart Street to Don Drumm Stadium. It will feature the Wall of Sound, Marquettes, cheerleaders, class attendants, king and queen candidates, and class floats accompanied by members of each class. The homecoming dance is sponsored by the sophomore class. The theme is “Aces in the Night,” and the dance will be held in the MHS gym from 7:30-10 pm. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door.  DJ and light show will be provided by DJ Associates.
