Marietta High School provides cheerleading opportunities for all students (grades 7-12) interested in cheerleading.

 While cheerleading is not an OHSAA sanctioned sport, Marietta High School offers this activity and supports its athletic endeavors.

 Sideline teams cheer for Football in the Fall and Basketball in the Winter. Each season has its own tryout, and students can be placed on middle school, freshmen, junior varsity and/or varsity squads based on their tryout and the coaching staff’s evaluation. Sideline teams are students’ opportunity to letter. *Middle schoolers can only make the middle school team.

 Competition teams are available as an additional, optional opportunity based on the coaching staff ability and vision, as well, as the administration’s approval. Any sideline cheerleader may tryout for the competition cheer program, regardless of which sideline squad they are on. No lettering is tied to competition as it is an optional part of the Cheerleading program.
