coffee with conversation

For Immediate Release

In a continued effort to build strong connections between Marietta City Schools and the community, Superintendent Mary Schaeffer is launching a new monthly initiative at local coffee shops. “Coffee & Conversation” is an informal event series that invites parents, students, staff, and community members to sit down with Superintendent Schaeffer at either Jeremiah’s Coffee House or Stoked Coffee (rotating monthly) to share thoughts, ask questions, and provide feedback about the school district.

Schaeffer stated that she believes this type of collaboration is the key to building a foundation of trust between the community and district.  “I believe in listening and learning from those we serve and these monthly gatherings will be an opportunity to hear directly from the community and collaborate to make MCSD the best it can be.”

The first meeting will be at Jeremiah’s Coffee House, on September 30, 2025 from 9-10:30 a.m.. Future meetings will be the final Tuesday of each month and will alternate locations between Stoked and Jeremiah’s. Future dates and locations will be posted on the district’s website and social media channels.
