mask policy change on buses

Yesterday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention lifted its mandate for wearing of masks on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems, including early care and education/child care programs.

Accordingly, Marietta City Schools will also end our requirement that students and staff wear masks on our buses. We are excited to announce this latest progress out of the pandemic that has impacted three academic years.

If you would prefer your child continue to wear a mask on the bus, please communicate that expectation both with them and with your child’s bus driver(s) by Monday.

We wish you a happy and healthy weekend.
