Good afternoon Tiger Family,
This afternoon, we received a threat about Marietta Elementary School. Immediately, the custodial staff was evacuated from the building and local law enforcement contacted. (There were no other people in the building at this time.) Working in cooperation with the Marietta Police Department and Washington County Sheriff’s office, the building was searched and determined to be clear of any threat. This threat was determined to be NOT credible. We appreciate the assistance and guidance from our local enforcement partners. Safety is our top priority for students and staff. We wanted to be sure to share this information as quickly as we were allowed to share it. Have a great evening and Go Tigers!
