It is the policy
of the Marietta City Schools Board of Education that each child who will be 5
years of age on or before August 1st of current year shall be eligible to enroll
in Kindergarten.

Registration will
be held in each elementary building.
Registration packets will be mailed to parents to complete and return to
the school at your scheduled appointment time.
The school secretary will contact parents to schedule an
appointment. If you do not receive a
registration packet in the mail, please contact the school your child will
attend to receive one. During registration, the school nurse will be
available to discuss any special concerns re:
medical issues, allergies, or medications.
Parents/guardians are asked to bring the following:

Child's birth certificate w/ stamped seal

Immunization record
=
Divorce, separation, or custody papers showing
legal guardianship
=
2 proofs of residency in the school district to identify physical address; such as a utility bill , rental agreement , mortgage, lease, property tax bill, etc. Driver's license is not valid.
It is not
necessary to bring your child to Kindergarten registration.
Ohio State law requires that every child entering
Kindergarten or First Grade (for the
first time) be screened.
Kindergarten screening will now occur in August. Kindergarten teachers will administer the
Kindergarten Readiness Assessment (English Language Arts portion only). Following KRA screening, teachers will use the information to assist
in meeting the individual needs of your child and will create class lists.
