Partners In Education
The Marietta City Schools are deeply indebted to our Partners In Education for the time, resources, and personnel they have donated to our schools throughout the past eleven years.

The partnership program was developed in August 1989, starting with 22 business partners. Nineteen years later, our schools are blessed with 10 additional partners, making a total of 33 business partners.

What is a partnership in education?
Partners In Education is a program in which students, teachers, and business professionals share information and experiences. It is not a financial aid program. Education partnerships provide opportunities for students to understand how the basic skills they learn in school are applied in the business world. Partnerships also give those in the business community insight into the workings of the schools and a better understanding of the needs of the educational system.

Why do we need partnerships?
Businesses need competent graduates entering the work force. Schools need a stable base of community support. Improving the quality of students’ education is our shared goal. In summary, we need programs which unite businesses and schools in a working partnership to meet the challenges of the future.
