Marietta Middle School Extracurricular Activities

Marietta Middle School offers a wide range of activities for students. Students are encouraged to become involved not only for their own satisfaction but also for the benefit of the entire school. New activities, clubs or organizations may be initiated if there is sufficient student interest and if an adult sponsor is available.
 
Current clubs include:
 
 Builders Club- sponsored by the Marietta Kiwanis, this club provides a means to develop leadership and community service to students in grades six through eight
 
StudentCouncil- Marietta Middle School encourages student leadership and participation in the democratic process through elected officials. Students elect representatives and a Student Body President following procedures written in the Student Council Constitution.
 
 Students may be selected into National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)by having a GPA of 3.6 or higher and exhibiting outstanding service, leadership and character
 
 Students may apply to join the MMS Yearbook staff, which is responsible for the assembly and sale of the yearbook.
 
All athletic programs, activities, clubs, and organizations provided for Marietta Middle School students are contingent upon availability of funds from the Board of Education and community donations.
